FEDERER'S RECORD 15 GRAND SLAM TITLES

July 5 (Reuters) - Roger Federer captured a record 15th grand slam title by winning Wimbledon on Sunday.
This is how he did it.
2003
1. Becomes first Swiss man to win a grand slam title after beating Mark Philippoussis 7-6 6-2 7-6 in the Wimbledon final.
2004
2. Wins Australian Open by defeating unseeded Russian Marat Safin 7-6 6-4 6-2.
3. Retains Wimbledon title by taming big-serving American second seed Andy Roddick 4-6 7-5 7-6 6-4.
4. Wins U.S. Open final by thumping Australian fourth seed Lleyton Hewitt 6-0 7-6 6-0.
2005
5. Completes a hat-trick of Wimbledon triumphs with a 6-2 7-6 6-4 over second seed Roddick.
6. Defends U.S. Open title with a 6-3 2-6 7-6 6-1 victory over sentimental American favourite Andre Agassi.
2006
7. Defeats unseeded Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis 5-7 7-5 6-0 6-2 in Australian Open final.
8. Keeps up winning streak at Wimbledon by thwarting Rafael Nadal 6-0 7-6 6-7 6-3 in showpiece match.
9. Downs Roddick 6-2 4-6 7-5 6-1 to clinch U.S. Open crown.
2007
10. Wins Australian Open with a 7-6 6-4 6-4 masterclass over Chilean 10th seed Fernando Gonzalez.
11. Becomes only the second man in professional tennis, after Bjorn Borg, to win five in a row at Wimbledon with a 7-6 4-6 7-6 2-6 6-2 success over Nadal.
12. Beats Serbia’s Novak Djokovic 7-6 7-6 6-4 to capture U.S. Open.
2008
13. Demolishes Britain’s Andy Murray 6-2 7-5 6-2 to win fifth consecutive title at U.S. Open.
2009
14. Emulates Pete Sampras by winning a record-equalling 14th grand slam title after beating Sweden’s Robin Soderling 6-1 7-6 6-4 at Roland Garros, his first French Open success.
15. Breaks Sampras’s record with a 15th grand slam win in the Wimbledon final against American Andy Roddick 5-7 7-6(6) 7-6(5) 3-6 16-14.
